Manno Leads Lions at AMCC Championships

STEUBENVILLE, Oh. – Katie Manno (Erie, PA/McDowell) took second place leading the Penn State Behrend women's cross country team to a third place team finish at the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championships. The Lions finished with a team score of 80 in the 6k event hosted by Franciscan.

Manno and Abby Gilmore (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) both earned All-Conference honors, placing in the top 14. Manno and Gilmore finished with times of 24:49 and 26:41 respectively. Gilmore took 14th place finishing just seconds behind a trio of Franciscan runners.

Freshman Catherine Fox (Fairview, PA/Fairview) had a strong debut in the AMCC championship competition taking 17th place running a 26:56. Coming in at 23rd place was Miranda Boatman (Bellefonte, PA/Bellefonte) finishing with a mark of 27:36. Finishing with a time of 27:37, teammate Franki DiSalvo (Erie, PA/McDowell) took 24th place.

The Lions are off until the NCAA Regionals November 15th hosted by Dickinson.
