Women's Cross Country Runs at NCAA Regionals
The Penn State Behrend women’s cross country team finished 43rd out of 52 teams at the NCAA Regionals hosted by Dickinson on Saturday. Katie Manno led the Lions with a 148th place finish running a time of 25:05.1. As a team Behrend finished with a team score of 1196.
CARLISLE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's cross country team finished 43rd out of 52 teams at the NCAA Regionals hosted by Dickinson on Saturday. Katie Manno (Erie, PA/McDowell) led the Lions with a 148th place finish running a time of 25:05.1. As a team Behrend finished with a team score of 1196.
Freshman Catherine Fox (Fairview, PA/Fairview) came through with a 238th place finish in her first NCAA Regional action. Fox tallied a time of 26:53.7. Coming in 11 places behind Fox was Abby Gilmore (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf). Gilmore placed 249th with a time of 27:01.6.
The fourth Behrend runner to finish was Miranda Boatman (Bellefonte, PA/Bellefonte). Boatman took 271st place clocking in with a time of 27:23.3. Franki DiSalvo (Erie, PA/McDowell) contributed a 290th place finish. DiSalvo ran a 28:03.5, her best 6k time of the season.
Alexa Haverly (Erie, PA/Villa Maria Academy) rounded out the Lion's runners finishing 315th in her first NCAA Regional. The freshman ran a 29:03.6.
Behrend ends the season with three third place finishes and solid efforts in large invitationals.
