Lions Kick Off Season at Westminster

The Penn State Behrend women's cross country team began their season at the Westminster Invitational Friday evening. The Lion’s took third out of nine teams with a total scoring time of 2:08:48.29.

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's cross country team began their season at the Westminster Invitational Friday evening. The Lion's took third out of nine teams with a total scoring time of 2:08:48.29.

Rachel Ramsey (North Versailles, PA/East Allegheny) led the way for Behrend with a seventh place finish. Ramsey crossed the finish line with a time of 24.22.90. Katelyn Hancock (Bethel Park, PA/Bethel Park) and Katie Manno (Erie, PA/McDowell) finished with times of 25.32.70 and 25.36.96 placing 18th and 20th respectively.

Ashlyn Carlsson (Butler, PA/Knoch) placed 27th with a time of 26.18.44 and Paige Allen (Butler, PA/Butler) finished 34th with a time of 26.57.29 to finish out the Lion's top five.

The Lion's will be back in action at home on September 19th to host the Behrend Invitational. Start time is scheduled for 11:00 a.m.
