Lions Finish Fourth at the Behrend Invitational

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's cross country team finished fourth out of 17 teams during their home meet Saturday morning scoring 131 points for the 5K race.

John Carroll won the invitational with a team score of 27. Point Park followed in second (101) and Clarion came in third with a score of 119.

Leading the Lion's for the second straight meet was junior Rachel Ramsey (North Versailles, PA/East Allegheny) with a 10th place overall finish. She finished with a time of 20:26.0 with a 6:35 mile pace.

Abby Gilmore (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) crossed the line second for Behrend with a time of 21:36.3 which resulted in a 23th overall finish. Katie Manno (Erie, PA/McDowell) placed 26th overall with a time 21:42.2.

Katelyn Hancock (Bethel Park, PA/Bethel Park) and Ashlyn Carlsson (Butler, PA/Knoch) rounded out the Lion's top five finishers with times of 21:59.2 and 22:31.0 respectively giving them 31th and 41th place overall finishes.

Behrend is back in action on October 10th at Gannon with a start time of 11 a.m.
