Women's Cross Country Competes at Oberlin

OBERLIN, Oh. – The Penn State Behrend women's cross country team competed at the Oberlin College Inter-Regional Rumble 6k Saturday morning in anticipation for next week's Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championships. The Lions finished in 17th place out of 29 teams with a score of 562.

Rachel Ramsey (North Versailles, PA/East Allegheny), current AMCC and ECAC South Runner of the Week, paced Behrend with a 37th place overall finish. She finished with a total time of 22:29.7.

Katie Manno (Erie, PA/McDowell) and Courtney Sargent (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy) crossed the finish line in 122nd and 123rd places respectively, only separated by two seconds. Manno finished with a time of 24:02.4 and Sargent had a time of 24:04.5.
Ashlyn Carlsson (Butler, PA/Knoch) placed fourth in the Lions' lineup, earning a 134th place overall finish. She ran to a time of 24:21.9. Paige Allen (Butler, PA/Butler) rounded out Behrend's top five finishers with a time of 24:52.5, earning her a 146th place finish overall.
Behrend returns to action next Saturday to host the AMCC Championships. Race time is set for 11 a.m.
