Women's Cross Country Runs at NCAA Regionals

CARLISLE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's cross country team finished in 24th place out of 50 teams at NCAA Regionals with a total score of 780 Saturday morning.

Rachel Ramsey (North Versailles, PA/East Allegheny) led the Lions once again during their last race of the season. Ramsey has been Behrend's top finisher in every race this season and that would not change Saturday. She ran the 6K in 52nd place with a time of 23:32.4.

Seniors Katie Manno (Erie, PA/McDowell) and Abby Gilmore (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) finished strong in their final season, finishing second and fourth for the Lions respectively. Manno finished in 162nd place with a time of 25:33.3. Gilmore took exactly one minute off her regional time from last year to finish with a time of 26:01.6 in 184th.

Courtney Sargent (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy) and Katelyn Hancock (Bethel Park, PA/Bethel Park) finished their freshman seasons finishing 178th and 204th respectively. Sargent crossed the finish line with a time of 25:54.5 and Hancock finished with a time of 26:25.3.
