Behrend Competes in Inter-Regional Boarder Battle

GLASSBORO, NJ - The Penn State Behrend women's cross country team finished with a score of 1024 to finish 33rd in a field of 45 teams.

This was the largest race the women have competed in which included 14 nationally ranked teams. No. 4 Johns Hopkins won the race with a score of 70, No. 2 MIT came in second with 134 points while SUNY Geneseo, ranked first in the country, compiled 136 points for third place.

Freshman Riley Crissman (Bradford, PA/Bradford) finished first for the Lions for the third race in a row. She finished 157th overall with a 6k time of 23:24.2. Senior Rachel Ramsey (North Versailles, PA/East Allegheny) and freshman Caitlin Plazony (Fairview, PA/Fairview) rounded out the top three for Behrend with almost identical times of 24:14 and 24:14.8, good enough for 204th and 205th place out of 386 runners.

Behrend will look to capture another AMCC title when they race again on October 30th. The championship race is set to begin at 11 a.m.
