NEW WILMINGTON, Pa – The Penn State Behrend women's cross country team took third at the Fisher Invitational hosted by Westminster on Friday night.
The Lions earned a final score of 92 points, finishing behind Waynesburg (49) and Mercyhurst (70). Savanna Carr (Franklin, PA / Franklin Area) led the charge for the women's team by placing third in the race with a time of 23:38.17.
Jenna Shelton (Cabot, PA / Knoch) notched 13th with a final time of 24:26.17. Riley Crissman (Bradford, PA / Bradford Area) crossed the finish line at 24:29.38 and Courtney Sargent (Erie, PA / Collegiate Academy) not too far after at 25:22.55 started the first run of the year off solid by concluding the race third and fourth for the Lions, respectively.
The women will be back in action on Friday, September 15th at the Behrend Invitational beginning at 5:30 p.m.
