Women's Cross Country Place Sixth at Houghton
The Penn State Behrend women's cross country team placed sixth out of 16 teams with a score of 205 at the Houghton Invitational on Saturday morning.
HOUGHTON, Ny. – The Penn State Behrend women's cross country team placed sixth out of 16 teams with a score of 205 at the Houghton Invitational on Saturday morning.
Leading the Lions for the second straight meet was sophomore Riley Crissman (Bradford, PA/Bradford Area) with a 13th place overall finish in the 6K race. She finished with a final time of 24:03.6.
Courtney Sargent (Fairview, PA/Fairview) took second place for Behrend with a time of 24:47.2, which resulted in a 28th overall finish.
Becca Worley (Townville, PA/Maplewood) finished in 41st place at 25:15.2 while Rachel Pell (Elizabeth, PA/Elizabeth Forward) came in 56th with a final time of 25:40.9
Kelley Giles (North Huntington, PA/Norwin) crossed the line in Behrend's top five finishers with a total time of 26:06.2 earning her a 67th place overall finish.
The Lions are back in action next Saturday at Oberlin. The start time for the race is scheduled for 11 a.m.
