ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend freshman Savanna Carr (Franklin, PA/Franklin Area) was named Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) North Division III Rookie of the Week, announced Wednesday.

Carr set the charge for the Lions with a first-place finish at the AMCC (Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference) Championship on Saturday, helping Behrend win the meet with a perfect score of 15. Her final time of 23:23 was good enough to earn her the second-fastest time in AMCC Championship history. This marks Carr's second career ECAC honors.

The women's cross country team returns to action when they compete at the NCAA Regionals in Carlisle, PA on November 11.
