Women's Cross Country Runs at the NCAA Division III Pre-Meet

LANSING, MI – Competing against the top Division III teams in the region and nation, the Penn State Behrend women's cross country team finished 28^th out of 36 teams at the NCAA Pre-Regional meet held at Olivet College on Saturday morning.

* The University of Chicago was the top team finisher, followed by MIT and Wisconsin-La Crosse
* The Lions faced nine ranked teams in the nation, taking 28^th place overall
* Senior Savanna Carr (Franklin, PA/Franklin Area) paced the Behrend Lions
* Carr finished 95^th overall with a time of 23:57.5 to be the first Behrend runner to cross the finish line
* Placing 124^th overall and second for the Lions was Olivia Nola (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy) with a time of 24:17.6
* Freshmen Lindsey Hartle (Pittsburgh, PA/Avonworth) ran to a 188^th-place finish in 25:17.0, while Emily Micciche (Weymouth, MA/Weymouth) came in 232^nd place with a time of 26:03.9
* Ivy Laffan (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) was fifth on the team and 256^th overall (26:41.5) and Bethany Litwiler (Reynolds, PA/Reynolds) ran 26:53.8 for 260^th place
* Megan Swantner (Saxonburg, PA/Knoch) tallied a time of 27:58.1 (275^th) for the 6K
