Behrend Women's Bowling Finishes Fifth At AMCC Round Robin 2

NORTH BRUNSWICK, N.J. – The Penn State Behrend women's bowling team finished with an overall record of 5-5 for a fifth-place finish at the AMCC Round Robin 2 hosted by New Jersey City.

Key Moments:

* The Lions went 2-2 on the final day, picking up wins over Mount Aloysius and Alvernia in traditional matches eight and 11
* Saint Vincent (9-1) placed first, followed by William Smith (9-1), Alvernia (8-2), and Pitt-Greensburg (6-4), who all finished ahead of Behrend in the tournament standings
* To start the day, Emily Warrene (Tarentum, PA/Deer Lakes) led the way for Lions with a score of 196 to help Behrend past the Mounties
Sidney Batsa (Latrobe, PA/Greater Latrobe) was the team leader against the Herons in match nine, rolling a 181
* Behrend's third match of the day was a close one against Pitt-Greensburg as they went into a tiebreaker knotted at 724. However, the Bobcats were able to sneak by the Lions, winning the tiebreaker, 87-71
* The Lions picked up a huge victory in their final match of the conference tournament over Alvernia
* Senior Ashley Debich (Leechburg, PA/Kiski Area) was key in Behrend's victory, bowling a game-high 222 vs. the Golden Wolves
* Batsa finished 22nd in the individual standings with a total pinfall of 1,560 and an average of 156.00, while Debich (159.78) and Bella Pilyih (Pittsburgh, PA/Shaler Area) (159.00) placed 28th and 29th, respectively
* As a team, Behrend registered an average of 151.5 in 50 games played with a total pinfall 7,577 over the three day tournament
