ALTOONA, Pa. - The Penn State Behrend baseball team split an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) doubleheader at Penn State Altoona Saturday afternoon.

Game One: Penn State Altoona 9, Penn State Behrend 2 (7 inn.)
Records: Penn State Altoona (14-14, 5-4 AMCC), Penn State Behrend (18-9, 5-4 AMCC)

Key Moments:

* ​Behrend got on the board first on an RBI double from Daniel Boehme (Peters Township, PA/Seton LaSalle)

* ​Altoona responded with three runs in the bottom of the first

* ​Freshman David Gibson (North East, PA/North East) cut Behrend's deficit to one (3-2) with an RBI single in the top of the third

* ​Altoona added six runs in the fourth, fifth, and sixth innings, highlighted by a trio of RBI doubles from Jake Hillard, Tyreke Green, and Corey Chamberlain to cap off its game one victory

* ​Green led Altoona with two hits, while Chamberlain drove in a game-high three runs

* ​On the mound for Altoona, Eli Wiles picked up his second win on two earned runs in 4.2 innings pitched. Sean Wing threw 2.1 scoreless innings with four strikeouts to earn his first save of the year

* ​Behrend used three home runs in the first two innings to take a 5-0 lead

* ​Gibson and Thomas Nicely (Delmont, PA/Franklin Regional) went back-to-back in the top of the first, while Dylan Barnes (Pittsburgh, PA/North Hills) hit a two-run shot in the top of the second

* ​Altoona notched two runs in the bottom of the second on a two-run single from Green

* ​Behrend tacked on four more runs in the third inning, highlighted by a two RBI single from Boehme

* ​However, Altoona climbed back in the game with a three-run bottom of the third on a two-run homer from Jonathan Rauch and RBI single from Green
