Penn State Behrend Remains Unbeaten In AMCC Play

The Penn State Behrend men's soccer team improved to 4-0 against AMCC competition.  The Behrend Lions are now 8-5 overall after the 2-1 win over Pitt-Greensburg.

It was a historical game against the Pitt-Greensburg Bobcats.  At 2:01 in the first half Penn State Behrend witnessed the fall of the career scoring record.  Ahmad Salim (Cranberry/Seneca Valley) gave the Behrend Lions the lead while breaking the school record.  With 29 goals in his career, Salim has surpassed Chris Lightner to become the career scoring leader. 

The Behrend Lions played to a 1-1 tie in the second half.  Ryan Banks (Allison Park/Hampton) scored at the 73:00 mark to give the blue and white the lead.  The Behrend Lions would hold on for the 2-1 victory. 

The blue and white will embark on a two game road trip as they travel to conference foes Pitt-Bradford and Frostburg State on October 14th and 18th respectively. The Behrend Lions will be back on the Behrend Fields on October 22nd when they on Hilbert College at 3:00 p.m.
