Penn State Behrend men's soccer team has improved to 4-0 in AMCC competition.  The Behrend Lions have a 7-5 overall record and have been led by solid goalkeeping and a strong attacking forward.  The AMCC has recognized both these positions on the Behrend men's soccer team by naming Ahmad Salim (Cranberry/Seneca Valley) and Dustin Walker (Apollo/Kiski Area) as the player and goalkeeper of the week for the week of Ocotber 13, 2008.

Salim led the Behrend to a pair of conference wins.  Against Franciscan he booted the game-winner and added an insurance tally in 3-0 contest.  Versus Pitt-Greensburg he put the Behrend Lions on the board to open the scoring in a 2-1 decision.  That goal was the 29th of his collegiate career and elevated him to the top of the program's all-time goal scoring chart.

While Salim was scoring the goals, Walker let up one goal in two conference games to secure two conference wins for the week.  Walker recorded his fifth shutout of the season in a 3-0 victory over Franciscan, then followed with his seventh win of the season in a 2-1 decision over Pitt-Greensburg. The senior has played every minute so far this season and has a 1.29 GAA.

The blue and white will embark on a two game road trip as they travel to conference foes Pitt-Bradford and Frostburg State on October 14th and 18th respectively. The Behrend Lions will be back on the Behrend Fields on October 22nd when they on Hilbert College at 3:00 p.m.
