ERIE, Pa. – Rachel Majewski (Erie, PA/Villa Maria Academy) and Tommy DiRienzo (Pittsburgh, PA/Bethel Park) were named Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Athletes of the Week.

Majewski averaged 19.5 points and 5.0 rebounds per game in a pair of non-conference games for the Lions this week.

She shot 50 percent from the floor for 19 points vs. St. John Fisher and then dropped 20 against Oberlin on Sunday.

DiRienzo averaged 22.0 points and 11.0 rebounds per game over two games last week.

On Tuesday at Baldwin Wallace, he led all scorers with a season-high 32 points to go along with 11 rebounds to help lead the Lions to an 80-69 victory in overtime. DiRienzo recorded a game-high 24 points and 11 rebounds at Allegheny on Saturday.

The basketball teams are back in action on Wednesday, Nov. 29.
