Behrend Women's Swimming & Diving Claims First Win Over Westminster

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's swimming and diving team claimed their first-ever win in program history over Westminster, defeating the Titans 160-138 in non-conference action on Saturday.

Key Moments:


* The Behrend Lions won seven events on the day and relied on depth to earn the first victory of the early season
* In the final two events, the Lions went 1-2-3 in the 200 IM led by Isabel Sheridan (Allentown, PA/Parkland) and then went 1-3 in the final 400 freestyle relay to win by 22 points
* Jadyn Danylko (Erie, PA/McDowell) won two individual events and was a part of two relay victories
* Danylko won both butterfly events, claiming the 200 fly in 2:28.97 and then the 100 fly in 1:02.64
* Danylko was the third leg on the opening 200 medley relay team that won in 1:57.36
* Camryn Watters (Greensburg, PA/Hempfield), Becca Krenzer (Grove City, PA/Grove City) and Heidi Schwartz (Webster, NY/Webster) made up the remaining swimmers in the winning 200 medley relay
* Watters went on to break the program's freshman record in the 100 backstroke in her second collegiate meet
* Watters took first and broke the record with a time of 1:01.24
* Sheridan won the 200 IM (2:26.19) and teammates Madelyn King (Uniontown, PA/Uniontown) and Emma Webster (Bradford, PA/Bradford) were not far behind, taking second and third
* In the 1000 free, Aliya Webster (Bradford, PA/Bradford) touched first in 11:54.57
* The final relay consisting of Krenzer, Danylko, Watters and Marin O'Lone (Edinboro, PA/General McLane) had a winning time of 3:54.52 to hold on for the win
