ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's bowling team went 1-4 in five traditional matches to begin the 2024 Grapevine Classic on Saturday at Eastland Bowl.

* Prior to the start of competition Saturday, seniors Sidney Batsa (Latrobe, PA/Greater Latrobe) and Katy Richardson (Hamburg, NY/Hamburg) were recognized
* In game three, the Lions picked up a 749-731 win over Hilbert
* Junior Emily Warrene (Tarentum, PA/Deer Lakes) tallied a team-high of 188 for the Lions against the Hawks
* As a team, Behrend recorded a high score of 868 vs. D'Youville in game four with Chelsea Wayne (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy) rolling the highest Lions game score for the day of 218
* Other high score games came from Batsa vs. Daemen (194) and Lillie Holt (Pulaski, PA/West Middlesex) against No. 6 Saint Vincent (192) and Pitt-Bradford (169)
