WHEELING, WVa. – The Penn State Behrend men's golf team is in 31st place after day one of the NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championships held at Oglebay Resort & Conference Center on Tuesday afternoon.

Key Moments:

* The Lions shot a +43 on the day for a 327 total after the first 18 rounds on the Jones Course
* Ryan Meyer (Sewickley, PA/North Allegheny) leads the team with a 76 (38-38) on the day
* Meyer tallied three birdies to shoot five over and sit tied for 48th place
* Jake Caldwell (Belle Vernon, PA/Belle Vernon) was second on the team and tied for 123, carding an 81 (40-41)
Michael Dinner (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) carded a 39 on the front nine and 45 on the back to sit tied for 152nd place with an 84 after day one
* Ryan Johnson (Centre Hall, PA/Penns Valley) came in T166 overall and fourth on the team with a score of an 86 (44-42), while Alex Pol (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) rounded out the top five with a 93 (51-42)
* Illinois Wesleyan is on top of the leaderboard with a 290
