Men's Golf Completes Day Two at NCAA Championships

WHEELING, WVa. – The Penn State Behrend men's golf team finished their ninth trip at the NCAA Division III Championships in 33rd place with a two-day score of 661 on Wednesday at the Oglebay Resort & Conference Center.

Key Moments:

* The Lions competed on the Palmer course for the second round of 18 holes and shot a team score of 334
* Overall, Behrend shot +97 for a 661 total and did not advance to day three of the championships
* Ryan Meyer (Sewickley, PA/North Allegheny) tallied a team-low score of 160 for the two days
* Meyer tied for 136th place with an 84 on day two (76-84=160)  
Jake Caldwell (Belle Vernon, PA/Belle Vernon), Michael Dinner (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) and Ryan Johnson (Centre Hall, PA/Penns Valley) all tied for 159th place overall
* Johnson had the best score of round two out of the Lions five golfers. He finished with an 82 for a 168 total
* Dinner and Alex Pol (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) each fired an 84 on the day
* Caldwell had a 39-48 for an 87 for the round and end with a 168 to tie for 159th place
* Pol had a two-day total of 177 to place 180th
