Men's Soccer Announces 2021 Fall Schedule

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's soccer team announces their schedule for the 2021 fall season.

The Lions are eager to get back on the field in 2021 after the pandemic limited their time with spring competition. In 2019, Behrend posted a record-setting season for most wins and a second-straight trip to the NCAA Tournament. Behrend kicks off with a road game against Fredonia on Wednesday, September 1 before hosting the annual Herb Lauffer Memorial Tournament over the weekend.

The Blue Devils will get the Lions ready to take on SUNY Morrisville in the first game of the HLM Tournament on Saturday, September 4 at 5 p.m. Behrend will then face either Franciscan or Baldwin Wallace in the championship/consolation game on Saturday, September 5.

The Lions then compete travel to New Jersey to face Rutgers Newark and TCNJ on Friday, September 10 and Sunday, September 12, both games at Rutgers Newark. Behrend hits the road for one more game against Grove City before facing Mt. Aloysius at home for the AMCC opener on Saturday, September 18. The Lions other non-conference opponents include Chatham, John Carroll, Kings and Houghton. Behrend will host Hilbert on Saturday, October 23 for Senior Day and finish the AMCC schedule on the road at Medaille on Tuesday, October 26. 

Behrend claimed their 10th overall AMCC Championship and made their eighth appearance in the NCAA Tournament in 2019. The Lions finished with a 19-2 record, earning the NCAA Division III Statistical Champion award for winning percentage.
