Lions Battle Yellow Jackets In Midweek Action At The Soccer Complex

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's soccer team will play its final three games of the regular season at home, starting with a non-conference matchup against Waynesburg on Wednesday, Oct. 23. Game time is slated for 7 p.m.

* Behrend is coming off a scoreless draw against Alfred State on Wednesday and a 2-0 shutout win over Penn State Altoona this past Saturday
* With four minutes remaining in the first half at Altoona, Dylan Akut (Pittsburgh, PA/Plum) sent a corner kick to the head of Chris Profaca (Basking Ridge, NJ/Ridge) which would be the eventual game-winning goal for Behrend
* Sophomore Lucas Pittman (Plum, PA/Plum) tallied his first goal of the season off a pass from Blake Cooper (Murrysville, PA/Franklin Regional) in the 77^th minute to secure the Lions victory on Saturday

* Akut and midfielder Jac Caputo (Pittsburgh, PA/Montour) are tied for first on the Lions in assists with three
* In net, Anthony Scalise (North Huntingdon, PA/Norwin) leads the team with 34 saves in nine starts and sits second in the conference rankings in save percentage (.756) and shutouts (4). Evan Dougal (Gibsonia, PA/Pine-Richland) has recorded 13 saves and one shutout in five starts, while ranking third in the AMCC with a .722 in saves percentage
* As a team, Behrend is third in the conference in goals (21), assists (17), points (59), shots (212), and corner kicks (92)
