ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's soccer team closed out regular season non-conference play with a 3-0 shutout victory against Waynesburg on Wednesday night at the soccer complex.

Key Moments:
* Blake Cooper (Murrysville, PA/Franklin Regional) gave Behrend an early 1-0 lead in the first half, which would be the eventual game-winner on Wednesday
* In the 14th minute, Cooper received a pass from Brock Kiefer (Eighty-Four, PA/Canon McMillan) outside the box and deposited the ball into the top right of the net
* Three minutes later the Lions extended their lead, thanks to an unassisted score from Chris Profaca (Basking Ridge, NJ/Ridge)
* Profaca collected a ball deflected off Waynesburg goalkeeper Zach Reed and sent the ball into the empty net in the 14th minute for his third goal of the year
* Kiefer was trying to notch his first goal of the season with three straight shots just off target to end the first half
* Early in the second half, senior Johnathan Swann (Allison Park, PA/North Allegheny) fired a shot in the 54th minute that was punched away by Reed
* Cooper netted his second goal of the contest in the 65th minute, putting a long ball from Lucas Pittman (Plum, PA/Plum) once again in the top right of the net to add to his team lead with nine scores so far this season
* Behrend goalkeeper Evan Dougal (Gibsonia, PA/Pine-Richland) kept the Yellow Jackets off the scoreboard with a diving save in the 70th minute
* Kiefer recorded a game-high four shots, followed by Cooper's three shots
* The Lions outshot Waynesburg 16-5 and held a 5-1 advantage in corner kicks
* This marks the third straight shutout for the Lions and second of the year for Dougal as he made three saves in the victory
