HOUSTON, Texas – Dan Simon (Harrison City, PA/Penn Trafford) broke the school record and finished 12^th overall in the 100 backstroke on the third day of the NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Championships in Houston, Texas.

Simon placed 14^th among 35 swimmers in the prelims with a time of 50.43 to advance to the finals. He touched in 49.79 to break his own school record of 50.02, becoming the program's first Honorable Mention All-American for his 12^th place finish.

Simon will compete in the 100 freestyle, beginning with the prelims tomorrow morning at 10 a.m.
