BEREA, Ohio – The Penn State Behrend men's swimming and diving team dropped a close 118-105 decision to Baldwin Wallace in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.

* The Lions won the first two events: the 200 yard medley relay and the 1000 freestyle
* Tim Compton (Pittsburgh, PA/North Allegheny), Matt Karenbauer (Butler, PA/Knoch), Jake Niziol (Eighty Four, PA/Ringgold) and Dan Tanaskovic (Pittsburgh, PA/Central Valley) nearly won the relay
* The foursome won by .14 seconds with a time of 1:42.06
* Jake Schmidt (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) was the individual winner in the 1000 free (10:22.03) and also won later in the meet the 500 free (4:56.38)
* Compton also won two individual events for the Lions
* Compton touched first in the 400 IM (4:27.53) and in the 200 butterfly (1:58.42)
* Jacob Eshelman (Franklin, PA/Franklin) had a win in the 200 breaststroke (2:19.27), before joining Karenbauer, Schmidt and Thaddeus Johnson (Brookville, PA/Brookville) in the winning 200 freestyle relay in 1:30.32
