ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's swimming and diving team opened the season with a 194-104 win over non-conference Westminster on Saturday afternoon.

* The Lions tallied their third straight win over the Titans
* Tim Compton (Pittsburgh, PA/North Allegheny) was a three-time individual and one relay winner to lead Behrend
* Dan Tanaskovic (Monaca, PA/Central Valley) and Anthony Tumino (Hershey, PA/Hershey) each added two individual and two relay wins
* Compton, Tumino, Ziziol and started with a victory in the 200 medley relay (1:38.18)
* Compton went on to claim the 200 butterfly (1:58.40), the 100 butterfly (53.41) and the 200 IM (2:02.18)
* Tumino touched first in the 50 free (22.12) and 200 backstroke (2:04.88)
* Tanaskovic, Shane Rupert (Richland Township, PA/Pine-Richland), and Jacob Eshelman (Franklin, PA/Franklin) left with a pair of individual wins
* Tanaskovic was first in the 100 backstroke (58.32) and the 100 free (50.04), while Rupert tallied his first collegiate win in the 1000 free (10:57.07) and the 500 free (5:15.69)
* Eshelman got his first victory in the 200 free (1:50.24) before winning the 200 breaststroke (2:19.71)
* Jake Niziol (Eighty Four, PA/Ringgold) had the fastest time in the 100 breaststroke (1:00.23) and then joined Tanaskovic, Eshelman and Tumino for the final relay win in the 200 free relay (1:30.85)
