ERIE, Pa. - The Penn State Behrend men's swimming and diving team will open the season against non-conference Westminster on Saturday in the Junker Center Pool. Meet begins at 1 p.m.

* The Lions posted a 5-4 dual-meet record last season
* Behrend ended the season with a second-place finish at the AMCC Championships
* Tim Compton (Pittsburgh, PA/North Allegheny) returns after being named AMCC Newcomer and Swimmer of the Year, as well as earning AMCC Empire 8 Swimmer of the Meet
* Compton won three individual championships and broke the AMCC Meet record in the 200 butterfly
* In addition to Compton, Jacob Eshelman (Franklin, PA/Franklin) and Dan Tanaskovic (Pittsburgh, PA/Central Valley) are returning All-Conference performers for the Lions
* Eshelman was the AMCC Champion in the 200 breaststroke and 800 free relay
* Behrend's roster features 14 new faces, including 13 newcomers
