Swimming and Diving Set For First SUNYAC-AMCC Championship
The Penn State Behrend men's and women's swimming and diving team will travel to Buffalo, NY for the 2025 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC)-SUNYAC Championships on Wednesday, February 19 through Saturday, February 22 at the Flickinger Aquatic Center at Erie Community College.
ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's and women's swimming and diving team will travel to Buffalo, NY for the 2025 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC)-SUNYAC Championships on Wednesday, February 19 through Saturday, February 22 at the Flickinger Aquatic Center at Erie Community College.
In conjunction, the six SUNYAC teams (Cortland, Fredonia, New Paltz, Oneonta, Oswego, Potsdam) will join forces with the AMCC (Penn State Behrend, Penn State Altoona, Pitt-Bradford, Alfred State) for the first SUNYAC-AMCC Championship. There will be an AMCC Champion, a SUNYAC Champion and a combined SUNYAC-AMCC Team Champion.

Men
* The Behrend Lions won the 2024 AMCC Championship to bring their overall total to 16 conference titles
* The Lions had 28 overall champions last year, including individual and relay
* Senior Tim Compton (Pittsburgh, PA/North Allegheny) was the AMCC Swimmer of the Year and sophomore Alexander Kremin (Dublin, OH/Dublin Jerome) was named Newcomer of the Year
* Compton was a three-time individual champion and four-time relay champion, while breaking three records
* Compton is looking to become a four-time champion in the 500 free, 400 IM and 200 butterfly
* Last year, junior Will Perham (Upper St. Clair, PA/Upper St. Clair) registered three individual championships, winning the 200 IM, the 100 and 200 breaststroke events
* Behrend holds the top times this season in the AMCC in 19 events
Women
* The Behrend women captured their 13th overall AMCC title last season
* The Lions also won their first-ever Allegheny-Empire Championship, edging Nazareth by 40.5 points
* Sophomore Camryn Watters (Greensburg, PA/Hempfield) was named AMCC Newcomer of the Year
* Watters was a two-time individual champion in the 100 and 200 backstroke events, while swimming on the winning 200 medley relay
* Junior Jadyn Danylko (Erie, PA/McDowell) returns after winning the 100 butterfly
* Behrend had 12 champions at last year's meet
