Behrend in First Place at SUNYAC-AMCC Championships; Lions Break Team Record
The Penn State Behrend men's swimming and diving team broke a team record and won both relays to sit first place out of 10 teams after day one of the 2025 SUNYAC-AMCC Championships at the Flickinger Aquatic Center at Erie Community College on Wednesday night.
BUFFALO, NY – The Penn State Behrend men's swimming and diving team broke a team record and won both relays to sit first place out of 10 teams after day one of the 2025 SUNYAC-AMCC Championships at the Flickinger Aquatic Center at Erie Community College on Wednesday night.
Combined Men's Scores: 1. Penn State Behrend (104), 2. SUNY Cortland (92), T3. SUNY Oneonta (74), T3. SUNY Oswego (74), 5. SUNY New Paltz (68), 6. Penn State Altoona (64), 7. Alfred State (48), 8. Pitt-Bradford (38), 9. SUNY Fredonia (36), 10. SUNY Potsdam (22)
Noteworthy:
* The Behrend Lions accumulated 104 points to be in the lead of the combined standings
* Both relay teams claimed gold, while the other broke a 12-year old record
* Isaac Stoeckle (Pittsburgh, PA/Avonworth), Will Perham (Upper St. Clair, PA/Upper St. Clair), Tim Compton (Pittsburgh, PA/North Allegheny) and Anthony Tumino (Hershey, PA/Hershey) won the 200 medley relay
* The foursome clocked in at 1:32.00 to break the team record that was set back in 2013 by Dan Simon, Justin Pritchard, Clay Altemose and Everett Sargent
* Compton, Tumino, Nicolin Pierce (Erie, PA/McDowell) and Perham made up the winning 800 free relay that clocked in at 7:00.55
