Behrend Men's Tennis Set to Face Pitt-Greensburg on Saturday at Westwood Racquet Club

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's tennis team will host Pitt-Greensburg in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) action on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Westwood Racquet Club.

Penn State Behrend News & Notes:

* The Behrend Lions have won two in a row, recently defeating Pitt-Bradford twice last weekend
* Michael Brudy (Gibsonia, PA/Pine Richland) was named the AMCC Athlete of the Week
* The senior did not give up a set point in singles or doubles action against Pitt-Bradford on Saturday. He swept at No. 3 singles and then won 8-0 at No. 2 doubles for the Lions first conference win
* Brudy was also the lone singles winner vs. Nazareth in the season opener last Wednesday
* Freshmen Alex Graeca (DuBois, PA/DuBois) and Matthew McCullough (Penfield, PA/DuBois Area) each tallied their first collegiate singles wins this week
* Graeca posted a 6-1, 6-0 decision at the No. 4 spot while McCullough won 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2 singles against the Panthers

Pitt-Greensburg News & Notes:

* The Bobcats will open the season today at Pitt-Bradford
* Pitt-Greensburg's roster features nine players including two seniors, two juniors and five freshmen
* Last season, the Bobcats defeated the Lions twice; 6-3 during the regular season and 5-4 in the AMCC semifinals
* Pitt-Greensburg finished second in the AMCC in the spring, falling 5-2 to Mt. Aloysius in the AMCC title match
