Lions Finish Second at Carnegie Mellon

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's track & field team competed in a quad meet at Carnegie Mellon on Saturday.

Key Moments: 

* The Penn State Behrend men's track and field team took second in the Carnegie Mellon quad meet
* Elijah Dangrow (Greenville, PA/Greenville) won the pole vault competition, coming in at 4.52m, qualifying for the All Atlantic meet
* Braeden Smith (Erie, PA/Seneca) took home first place in the high jump with a leap of 2.00m
* In the 100m run, Antonio Stello (Punxsutawney, PA/Punxsutawney) finished first, followed by Kurt Eberhardt (Gibsonia, PA/Hampton)
* Stello also got the win in the 200m run (22.61), once again followed by Eberhardt in second (22.70)
* Matt Michael (Erie, PA/Iroquois) and Mason Nolan (Karns City, PA/Karns City) went two and three in the men's shot put event
* Michael threw a 14.01m, qualifying him for the All Atlantic meet and Nolan finished with a 12.92m
* Michael also finished second in the discus event
* Nick Coleman (North Huntingdon, PA/Norwin) came in second in the 400m run (50.96)
* Zachary Tingley (Stoneboro, PA/Lakeview) and Colton Barger (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy) came in second and third respectively in the 800m run (1:58.32; 1:58.70)
* The men's 4x100m team of Eberhardt, LaChut, Stello, and Jack Georgetson (Aliquippa, PA/Hopewell) took home first place with a time of 43.53
