Track and Field Competes at Kane Invite

ITHACA, Ny. – The Penn State Behrend men's track & field team competed in the Kane Invitational hosted by Cornell on Saturday.

Key Moments: 

* Braeden Smith (Erie, PA/Seneca) won the men's high jump event with a leap of 2.02m
* This is Smith's second high jump win of the season
* Kurt Eberhardt (Gibsonia, PA/Hampton) had two top-eight finishes with a third place mark in the 200m (23.00) and fifth in the men's 60m dash (7.16)
* Nick LaChut (Pittsburgh, PA/Baldwin) followed Eberhardt in the 200m in seventh (23.68) along with his second place finish in the pole vault (4.51m) with a AARTFC qualifying height
* Jack Georgetson (Alliquippa, PA/Hopewell) also qualified for the AARTFC meet in the pole vault finishing fourth followed by Kevin Stebick (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) in sixth
* In the 400m, Eric Stehlik (Northport, NY/Northport) took home fourth place (51.72)
* Phoenix Myers (Erie, PA/Seneca) tallied a fifth place finish in the 800m (1:59.96), followed by Zachary Tingley (Stoneboro, PA/Lakeview) in eighth (2:04.56)
* Senior Chris Drozynski (Stoneboro, PA/Lakeview) ran 9:05.45 in the 3000m for sixth place
* Amory Coleman-Reeves (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) took home fifth in the long jump with a leap of 6.31m
* In the shot put, Jacob Rose (Erie, PA/Iroquois) and Mason Nolan (Chicora, PA/Karns City) finished fourth and sixth, respectively
