Hetrick Highlights Successful Day for Behrend as Multiple Lions Collect Career Highs

HOUGHTON, N.Y. – The Penn State Behrend men's track and field team resumed play at the Highlander Invitational hosted by Houghton College on Saturday.
Key Moments:
* Samuel Hetrick (New Bethlehem, PA/Redbank Valley) set a new personal-best in the high jump with a leap of 2.05m
* Hetrick is now second in the nation in the event with the mark he set today
* Antonio Stello (Punxsutawney, PA/Punxsutawney) came away with a first-place finish in the 60m dash with a time of 7.07
* Nicholas Hartman (Cranberry Twp., PA/Seneca Valley), Islam Daghestani (Meadville, PA/Meadville Area), Ryan Festa (Horsham, PA/Hatboro-Horsham) and Jonathan Vioral (Pittsburgh, PA/Deer Lakes) all set new personal records in the 60m
* Vioral also set a new high in the 200m along with James Banks (New York, NY) and Eric Stehlik (Northport, NY/Northport)
* Kody Klein (North East, PA/Cathedral Prep) paced all runners in the 800m with a final time of 2:00.02
* The Lions finished second in the 4x400m relay with the group of Vioral, Klein, Nick Temel (Conneaut Lake, PA/ Conneaut Area) and Zac Tingley (Stoneboro, PA/Lakeview)
* Michael Nye (Erie, PA/Iroquois) had the fourth best result in shot put, setting a PR of 12.09m
