ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's and women's track and field team will compete at Slippery Rock today as part of the SRU Invitational.

Men's News & Notes:

* Kody Klein (North East, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) and Matt Laslavic (Zelienople, PA/Seneca Valley) were named Athletes of the Week for the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) on Monday
* Last weekend at Thiel, Klein logged wins in the 800m (1:58.40) and the 4x400m (3:32.93) to be named CSAC Track Athlete of the Week
* Eric Stehlik (Northport, NY/Northport), Zac Tingley (Stoneboro, PA/Lakeview) and Nick Hartman (Cranberry Twp, PA/Seneca Valley) completed the team of the first-place relay last week
* Laslavic earned the title of Field Athlete of the Week by registering a 52.76m toss in the javelin throw to qualify for the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) Championships while finishing in second place
* Laslavic also grabbed silver in the triple jump with a leap of 12.44m

Women's News & Notes:

* Ivy Laffan (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) was named CSAC Track Athlete of the Week, finishing in the top-five in five different events at Thiel
* Laffan took gold in the 400m, crossing at a conference-best 1:00.20
* Laffan holds the top times in the CSAC in the 100m, 200m and the 400m
* Olivia Nola (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy) finished with an AARTFC-qualifying mark last weekend for the second-straight meet, winning the 1500m at 4:53.89
* Nola clinched a regional bid on April 9 at Westminster finishing in 18:32.40 in the 5k
* Caroline Upham (Erie, PA/Iroquois) has seen second-place finishes in the high jump in consecutive weeks, concluding last week with a mark of 1.47m
