Dabrowski Takes Gold During SRU Invite

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's track and field team took part in the SRU Invitational on Thursday, hosted by Slippery Rock. There were no team scores for this invitational.
Noteworthy:
* Dan Dabrowski (Harborcreek, PA/Harborcreek) took gold in the discus, with a final mark of 46.02m
* Dabrowski entered the event as the top seed with a mark of 47.99m
* Behrend placed second in the 4x100m relay, finishing in 43.75
* The team of Antonio Stello (Punxsutawney, PA/Punxsutawney), Blake Burns (Jefferson, OH/Jefferson Area), Eric Stehlik (Northport, NY/Northport) and Samuel Hetrick (New Bethlehem, PA/Redbank Valley) helped the Lions earn silver in the relay second in the 200m and fourth in the 100m
* Individually, Stehlik finished in the top-5 in two events, taking
* Hetrick and Braeden Smith (Erie, PA/Seneca) tied for first in the high jump with a mark of 2.00m
* Phoenix Myers (Erie, PA/Seneca) took fifth in the 5k, crossing at 15:30.48
* Nick Temel (Conneaut Lake, PA/Conneaut Area) finished the 1500m in 4:16.53 for seventh place, setting a new personal record in the event
