ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's track and field team will be sending junior Samuel Hetrick (New Bethlehem, PA/Redbank Valley) to the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships in Birmingham, Alabama this weekend. Hetrick will represent the Lions in the high jump for the second straight indoor season.

Hetrick qualified for the NCAA Championships with the top mark in Division III. He has held the top height for weeks, recently doing better than his best at the AARTFC Championships.  Hetrick hit a new program record and top mark with 2.15m to claim gold in the high jump this past weekend.

The NCAA Indoor Championships begin on Saturday, March 10 concluding on Sunday, March 11. The championships will be held at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama, with Birmingham-Southern College and the City of Birmingham serving as hosts.
