Behrend Men's Track & Field Hosts Invitational

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend outdoor men's track & field team won 13 events at the Behrend Invitational on Sunday.  

Key Moments: 

* Samuel Hetrick (New Bethlehem, PA/Redbank Valley) and Antonio Stello (Punxsutawney, PA/Punxsutawney) each tallied a pair of wins on the day 
* Stello was the top finisher in the 100m (11.33) and 200m (23.10), while Hetrick was first in the 400m (51.40) and the high jump (2.08m) 
* Kody Klein (North East, PA/Cathedral Prep) ran a leg on the winning 4x800 relay, while placing first in the 3000m steeplechase (9:49.83) and then taking third in the 400m (52.53)  
* Behrend tallied six wins in the field events, beginning with Hetrick in the high jump and followed by Ryan Festa (Horsham, PA/Hatboro-Horsham) in the pole vault (4.30m) 
* In the triple jump, Evan States (Punxsutawney, PA/Punxsutawney) had a leap of 11.92m for first 
* The Lions went 1-2 in the shot put led by Alex Cotton (Saxonburg, PA/Knoch) with a toss of 14.92m 
* Dan Dabrowski (Harborcreek, PA/Harbor Creek) and Matthew Laslavic (Evans City, PA/Seneca Valley) won the discus and javelin, respectively 
* Dabrowski threw a distance of 49.60m for first in the discus while Laslavic had a toss of 53.36m in the javelin for the top spot
