ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's and women's track and field team will host the Behrend Invitational on Sunday, April 16 beginning at 11 a.m.

Men's News & Notes:

* The Lions hold the top spot in nine different events within the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) so far this season
* Dan Dabrowski (Harborcreek, PA/Harbor Creek) was recently named the CSAC Field Athlete of the Week
* Dabrowski set a new Behrend outdoor record in the discus, throwing 51.13m which puts him fourth on the NCAA qualifying list
* Samuel Hetrick (New Bethlehem, PA/Redbank Valley) is currently sixth in the nation in the high jump with a mark of 2.02m
* Kody Klein (North East, PA/Cathedral Prep) holds the top time in two events, the 1500m and the 3000m steeplechase

Women's News & Notes:

* Behrend claims the top seed in eight events within the CSAC
* Olivia Nola (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy) reigns atop the CSAC in the 800m and the 1500m
* Madison Kappeler (Cecil, PA/Canon-McMillan) registered a mark of 3.10m in the pole vault and 13.05 in the 100m this season, proving to be the top marks in the conference
* Julia Balaski (Mercer, PA/Mercer) set a new Behrend outdoor record in the javelin with a 38.10m toss to hold the top throw in the CSAC
* Last weekend, Savanna Carr (Franklin, PA/Frankin) won the 5,000m race with an AARTFC qualifying time of 18:26.91, putting her first in the CSAC rankings
