* The Lions will be making their season debut this weekend at Washington & Jefferson
* Last season, Behrend's only competition was at the 2021 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships
* The Lions fell in the fifth-place match 17-11 to Austin
* Behrend returns MPSF All-Academic honorees Justin Brown (Healdsburg, CA/Cardinal Newman) and Ryan Kenney (Shippack, PA/Perkiomen)
* Kenney was also named an ACWPC Academic All-American with returning players Eli Anderson (Encinitas, CA/San Dieguito) and Samuel Flesch (The Woodlands, TX/The Woodlands)
* The team has eight returning players along with nine newcomers
* Head coach Joe Tristan enters his 19th season with the Lions
