OBERLIN, Ohio – The Penn State Behrend men's cross country team ran at the Inter-Regional Rumble on Saturday morning.

Denis Lydon (Plum, PA/Plum) continued to have an excellent season with a top-100 finish.  Lydon took 78th place with a time of 25:49.60.  Michael Smolinski (Wexford, PA/North Allegheny) crossed the line at 26:25.90 for 123rd place.

Matt McWilliams (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) was the third Lions' runner to finish.  McWilliams came in with a time of 26:41.60 for 147th place.  Jason Zabelsky (North Huntingdon, PA/Norwin) was just behind McWilliams with a 153rd place finish.  Zabelsky ran a time of 26:45.20.  Tyler Yost (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) rounded out the top-five with a time of 27:13.0.

A total of 275 runners competed in the 8K race, with Behrend taking 23rd place out of 32 teams.

The Lions will be back in action on October 27th for the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) championship race.  Start time is set for 11 a.m.
