Men's Cross Country Set to Compete at the AMCC Championships Saturday
The Penn State Behrend men's cross country team heads to Mt. Aloysius on Saturday for the 2022 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championships.
ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's cross country team heads to Mt. Aloysius on Saturday for the 2022 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championships. The 8K race will begin at 12:15 p.m. on the campus of the Mounties in Cresson, Pa.

* The Lions are looking for their 14th AMCC Championship in program history
* Behrend has won two in a row (2020, 2021)
* Last season, the Lions had seven runners place in the Top 10 to earn a team score of 20 at the championship meet
* Aidan Domencic (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley) is the top returning runner from the championship meet a year ago, finishing in third
* Sophomore Kody Klein (North East, PA/Cathedral Prep) has the fourth best 8K time in the AMCC heading into the race
* Klein, the 2021 AMCC Newcomer of the Year, posted his season-best time of 26:44.9 at the Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble almost two weeks ago
* Domencic and Nick Temel (Conneaut Lake, PA/Conneaut Area) are also ranked in the Top 10 best times in the conference to date
* The Top 10 runners will be named to the AMCC All-Conference Team
