Lions Tally First Win, Take Down Wheaton

CLERMONT, Fl. – The Penn State Behrend softball team took down Wheaton and fell to Wisconsin Lutheran on Friday in the Spring Games.

Game 1
* The Lions fell to Wisconsin Lutheran on Friday, 7-5
* Behrend kept the lead until the seventh inning 
* The Lions were up 5-4 heading into the seventh when the Warriors tied up the game
* The game went into extra innings and Behrend was unable to score
* Wisconsin Lutheran took a 7-5 lead in the eighth to finish the game
* Kylee Bundy (DuBois, PA/DuBois) led the Lions with two hits 


Game 2
* Behrend won the first game of the season against Wheaton on Friday
* The Lions came out hot taking a 3-0 lead in the first inning
* The Thunder scored nine unanswered runs by the end of the fourth inning
* Behrend kept in the game and tied it up at 12 in the seventh to send it to extra innings
* The Lions scored two in the final inning to secure the win
* Behrend was led by Nicole DeRose (Amsterdam, NY/Amsterdam) with three hits and three RBIs
* Mackenzie McIntire (Stoneboro, PA/Lakeview) tallied three RBIs on two hits and Amy Nolte (Imperial, PA/West Allegheny) registered three hits and two RBIs
