The Marietta Pioneers took two games from the Penn State Behrend softball team in non-conference action on Sunday afternoon. The Pioneers won 8-0 in five innings and 12-10 in walk-off fashion in the nightcap.

MARIETTA, Ohio – The Marietta Pioneers took two games from the Penn State Behrend softball team in non-conference action on Sunday afternoon. The Pioneers won 8-0 in five innings and 12-10 in walk-off fashion in the nightcap.
Game One: Marietta 8, Penn State Behrend 0 (5)
Records: Penn State Behrend (16-12), Marietta (13-20)

* Ashton Helmke threw a two-hit shutout for the Pioneers
* Marietta scored seven of its eight runs off home runs
* The Pioneers smacked three home runs on the day in different innings
* Jess Brown led Marietta with a pair of long balls
