* The Lions tallied a 4-6 record on Spring Break in Florida
* Behrend opened the season 4-1 before dropping the last five contests
* Jocelyn McNany (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley) was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Player of the Week. She hit .522 over eight games, recording seven extra-base hits out of 12 total for the week
* McNany smacked a pair of home runs, four doubles and one triple, while scoring eight runs and driving in eight runs
* The junior first baseman leads the team with 16 hits and 12 RBIs
* Junior Meghan Petitte (Sugarcreek, OH/Garaway) is two hits away from reaching 100 career hits
* The Lions were voted to finish first in the AMCC Coaches' Preseason Poll
* Petitte was named the Preseason Player of the Year and Abby Tingley (Union City, PA/Union City) earned Preseason Pitcher of the Year
* Over break, Tingley pitched 31.2 innings and fanned 22 batters over six appearances

* Mount Union was picked first in the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Preseason Coaches' Poll
* The Purple Raiders return a trio of All-Region selections in Sydney Mercer, Faith Reicosky and Kendyll Cahill
* Mercer leads the team with 14 runs scored and six doubles
* Adri George has 17 RBIs in 13 hits for a .394 average, while Reicosky has a team-best 15 hits and a .469 average
* Last time out, Mt. Union fell 5-3 to No. 18 Calvin and then defeated Washington, 10-2
