Women's Soccer Ranked Ninth in Great Lakes Region
The Penn State Behrend women's soccer team earned its first ranking in this week's United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Great Lakes Region rankings.
ERIE, Pa. - The Penn State Behrend women's soccer team earned its first ranking in this week's United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Great Lakes Region rankings. The Lions came in at No. 9 in the Great Lakes Region as announced by the United Soccer Coaches on Tuesday.
Overall, Penn State Behrend stands 11-6 overall along with an unblemished 9-0 record in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC). Behrend is riding a six-game winning streak heading into the AMCC Tournament this week, last falling to No. 12 Carnegie Mellon 1-0 on October 2.
The Lions earned the No. 1 seed in the AMCC Tournament and will host No. 5 Penn State Altoona on Wednesday at 5 p.m. The winner will advance to the championship game on Saturday at 1 p.m.
