The Penn State Behrend women’s soccer team will host the annual Herb Lauffer Memorial Soccer Tournament this weekend at the soccer complex on Friday and Saturday, September 2 and 3.

* The Lions were picked first in the annual AMCC Coaches Preseason Poll
* Behrend is coming off its 15th overall conference championship and advancing to the NCAA Tournament
* Senior goalkeeper Morgan Harding (Pittsburgh, PA/Carlynton) was named AMCC Co-Defensive Preseason Player of the Year
* Haring returns after earning First Team All-AMCC honors along with Karla Ochoa (Pharr, TX/IDEA Toros College Preparatory), Angelina Hofrichter (Canonsburg, PA/Canon McMillan)
* Second-Team selections back for another season are Trinity Prestash (Philipsburg, PA/West Branch) and Emily Clopp (Canonsburg, PA/Canon-McMillan)
* Head Coach Patrick O'Driscoll begins his 17th year with the Lions
* Last season, O'Driscoll reached 200 career wins and led the Lions to a 19-2 overall record
* Behrend and Franciscan are meeting for the 16th time in program history. The Lions have a 14-1 advantage over the Barons and enter the contest on a seven-game winning streak in the series
* The Yellow Jackets hold a 10-6-1 record against the Lions. Behrend defeated Baldwin Wallace 3-0 last year in the HLM Tournament
