ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's soccer team defeated Franciscan 4-1 in the first round of the 2022 Herb Lauffer Memorial Tournament held on Friday evening.

* Three different players scored in the first half to give the Lions a comfortable 3-1 lead
* Mia Zec (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley) tallied two goals while Bella Sestito (Pittsburgh, PA/Thomas Jefferson) recorded a goal and an assist

* Zec netted the final goal in the 53rd minute for the final 4-1 margin
* Starting goalie Morgan Harding (Pittsburgh, PA/Carlynton) made three saves in the win
