Christman Named AMCC Player of the Year; Six Earn All-AMCC Honors

ERIE, Pa. – Six members of the Penn State Behrend women's tennis team have been named to the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) All-Conference team and head coach Jeff Barger earned Co-Coach of the Year award for the seventh straight season.

Senior Arica Christman (Sharon, PA/Sharon) won her fourth straight AMCC Player of the Year Award after completing another undefeated season in conference competition, while winning her fourth consecutive AMCC titles at No. 1 singles and doubles. 

Christman, Stephanie Cattron (Greensburg, PA/Commodore Perry) and Leslie Durante (Fairview, PA/Fairview) were named to the all-conference team for the fourth time in a row. Christman earned first-team honors at No. 1 singles, Cattron at the second spot and Durante in third singles. Allison Quigley (Gibsonia, PA/Hampton) and Jade Buhite (North Kingsville, OH/Edgewood) were also selected to the first team at No. 5 and No. 6 singles, respectively.

Christman and Cattron were chosen to the first team in doubles competition at No. 1 for the fourth year, as well as Durante and Quigley at No. 2 doubles. Buhite and Rachel Harris (Russell, PA/Eisenhower) were a first-team choice at No. 3 doubles. Harris also was named to the second team at No. 6 singles.
