Hartle Earns Runner-Up Finish In Jim Wuske Invite
The Penn State Behrend women’s indoor track & field team took part in the Jim Wuske Invitational, hosted by Mount Union on Saturday.
ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Penn State Behrend women's indoor track & field team took part in the Jim Wuske Invitational, hosted by Mount Union on Saturday.
Key Moments:
* Junior Lindsey Hartle (Pittsburgh, PA/Avonworth) was the top-finisher on the track for the Lions, running a runner-up time of 11:24.10 in the 3000m
* Fellow distance runners Bethany Litwiler (Reynolds, PA/Reynolds) (Fourth/11:36.29), Baylee Dernar (Wattsburg, PA/Seneca) (Ninth/12:01.65), and Alivia Hetrick (Waterford, PA/Waterford) (10th/12:02.94) followed Hartle in the race
* In the 400m, Ivy Laffan (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) crossed the finish line with an eighth-place time of 1:04.81
* Madison Kappeler (Cecil, PA/Canon-McMillan) and Jessica Park (East Meadow, NY/East Meadow) also recorded eighth-place finishes for Behrend
* Kappeler finished eighth with a height of 10-7 ½ in the pole vault, while Park threw an eighth-place distance of 41-7 ¾ in the weight throw
* Kappeler would also go on to place ninth in the 200m (27.96)
* Freshman Jaade Duncan (Turner Falls, MA/Turner Falls) registered a 60m time of 8.51 for ninth place
