ERIE, Pa. – The Behrend women's volleyball team fell to Kenyon (3-2) and Alfred (3-1) on day two of their home invitational in the Junker Center on Saturday.
Match One:
Final Score: Kenyon 3, Behrend 2 (25-9, 25-21, 30-32, 25-23, 15-10)
Records: Penn State Behrend (2-5), Kenyon (2-5)
Key Moments:
* Kenyon got a jump on the Lions early with a 25-9 set-one victory
* Behrend responded with 16 kills in the second set and only one error to hit .455 and knot the game at 1-all
* The third set went into extra points with 23 ties and 10 lead changes, going in the Lions favor 32-30
* The Owls won the final two sets for the win
* Sailor Ladd (Trumansburg, NY/Trumansburg) had her first collegiate double-double with 24 assists and 12 digs
* Ladd also led with seven service aces
* Cadence Jones (North East, PA/North East) had a team-best 17 kills and posted nine digs
* Libero Sarah Nobach (Athens, MI/Athens) recorded her fifth straight double-digits digs match with a team-high 17
*Olivia Swinarski (Harborcreek, PA/Harbor Creek) was also in double-digits for kills with 10, while Brynne Smith (Butler, PA/Knoch) registered 19 assists and eight kills

Final Score: Alfred 3, Behrend 1 (25-14, 22-25, 26-24, 25-15)
Records: Penn State Behrend (2-6), Alfred (5-1)
Key Moments:
* Similar to the first match, Behrend won the second set to even the score at one-set each
* The Saxons managed to take the next two sets at 26-24 and 25-15
* The Lions had set point at 24-21 in the third set, but Alfred won the final five points to win by two and take a 2-1 edge in the match
* The Saxons never trailed in the fourth set to collect their fifth win
* Nobach tallied her season best with 23 digs and adding two assists and two service aces
* Jones posted 13 kills, while Smith led with 15 assists, nine kills and five digs
* Ladd contributed 13 assists and six digs, and Alani Salas-Garcia (Jacksonville, FL/Mandarin) added eight digs
